Welcome to 3C Community Church

3C Community Church in Gloucestershire is a Christian church with a varied mix of ages & backgrounds.
We seek to live by faith, to be known by love and to be a voice of hope.

Latest COVID-19 Information:
(March 2022)

Despite all of the challenges of the recent past we have continued to meet as God’s people. We’ve had to be creative, but our media team has worked tirelessly to produce the weekly Sunday services.

All the current Covid 19 restrictions, for the most part, have now been lifted by the Government. The Elders have determined that for our church we are now back to meeting and worshipping together in more normal style. However the online/internet broadcast services will continue for a while.

We are aware that, particularly for our older and/or medically restricted members of our congregation, there may be still some concern. So we are requesting that we give each other the freedom to make our own choices as to whether we keep our masks on and maintain strict distancing, and to be gracious to others who may make different decisions to ourselves.

Coming Events:

Phil will be teaching about our responsibilities as a church community, using a building model based on his experiences and understandings whilst doing church repair work in recent months, over the next few weeks interspersed with the occasional different Sunday preacher

All Small Groups are back to their normal meeting times and places as shown on the calendar.

September 18th is going to be another occasion where we are going to treat and welcome our potential new members to lunch after the service and we hope that some of our regular member will be able to help us prepare, serve and clear up afterwards. After this we will be having a special ‘Introduction’ service on October 16th when all these new members will be welcomed into our church fellowship

The revised concept of the Men’s group which has recently commenced with small groups meeting together for Breakfast on the 4th Saturday of the month is now up and running with two groups so far and a third planned in the near future

The church Lifeline group is having a coach outing to the Wye valley on 28th September leaving at 9.30am and getting home about 5’ish. Cost approx £13 per head (depending on numbers) and there will be a meal out at Monmouth. If interested or would like to join in please contact Lis Palmer – 07879684756

At a recent Ministry Team Leaders meeting an outline plan for our Church Christmas activities was agreed, so watch this space as plans unfold.

Current News

After a recent flurry of activity and some stalwart church members grasping paintbrushes and dusters plus the addition of a wonderful new bit of visual technology, we can now say that the church hall is back in action – although there is still a bit of work to be done in the kitchen. This means meetings, Lifeline, Kids Space and all sorts of another church related activities can now take place again as has been shown by recent funeral ‘Teas’ which have taken place.

The roof saga has taken another turn in that Bats have been identified as residing in the roof and we have to have proper ecological surveys done which has effectively delayed the roof repair project by at least 6 months.

A lot of name suggestions have been put forward for renaming our church and, in due course, a small selection will be made and brought to the church to vote on. There seems to be a clear favourite at present but I am not saying anymore!

Our church directory has now been updated and has been distributed to all members. However, with all these new members shortly about to be introduced there will be an updated version issued about Christmas time

The monthly Tear Fund lunches have now restarted with 16 people attending the first one held this past week. The Tear Fund Shop has been relocated to the back of the main church auditorium alongside the sound desk.

A new church Website is in the process of being trialled which will be much more user friendly and will incorporate a lot more of our regular administration tasks and financial giving arrangements but in practical reality, by the time it has been populated with all relevant Data and various categories of access addressed it probably will not be up and running until the New Year.
