Welcome to 3C Community Church

3C Community Church in Gloucestershire is a Christian church with a varied mix of ages & backgrounds.
We seek to live by faith, to be known by love and to be a voice of hope.

Latest COVID-19 Information:
(March 2022)

Despite all of the challenges of the recent past we have continued to meet as God’s people. We’ve had to be creative, but our media team has worked tirelessly to produce the weekly Sunday services.

All the current Covid 19 restrictions, for the most part, have now been lifted by the Government. The Elders have determined that for our church we are now back to meeting and worshipping together in more normal style. However the online/internet broadcast services will continue for a while.

We are aware that, particularly for our older and/or medically restricted members of our congregation, there may be still some concern. So we are requesting that we give each other the freedom to make our own choices as to whether we keep our masks on and maintain strict distancing, and to be gracious to others who may make different decisions to ourselves.

Coming Events:

Phil will be continuing to lead us on Sundays in exploring Psalms together

All Small Groups are  slightly modifying their arrangements for the summer holidays – so keep an eye on the website calendar – for details see 3C’s Small Groups page on this website.

July 24th is now to be an occasion where we are going to treat and welcome our potential new members to lunch after the service and we hope that some of our regular member will be able to help us prepare, serve and clear up afterwards. Its going to be quite an occasion which, because of the past two years Covid restrictions, we have about 16 or so people to welcome!! A growing church, no less, which is going against the trend – Praise the Lord!

A revised concept of the Men’s group has recently commenced with it now taking the form of smaller groups meeting one a month for breakfast to share with each other.

Gerald Harpers funeral will take place on August 8th.

Woodfield school has now reopened its doors from Covid to allow ‘Open-the-Book’ presentations of the bible at some school assemblies.

Our Pastor, Phil, will be taking his summer holiday from 28th July until 11th August. So please contact either Peter or Saul (our Elders) during this time.

The church Lifeline group is having a coach outing to the Wye valley on 28th September leaving at 9.30am and getting home about 5’ish. Cost approx £13 per head (depending on numbers) and there will be a meal out at Monmouth. If interested or would like to join in please contact Lis Palmer – 07879684756

Current News

At long last the ‘correct’ floor covering has arrived and been installed (all bar the last couple of bits) and our hall is back in action again for all its previous activities

The lesser, but important roof leak problems have now been attended to but have, in turn thrown up one or two more issues! Ah, the problems of living and having a church in an old listed building. The Structural Engineer who is going to be involved with our main church roof repair project has been briefed and will commence his designs shortly.

The redecoration is also nearly complete in the hall so now is the time to consider how we as a church community are going to use the renewed facility to aid the church, the local community and to further Gods work in this place. Put your ideas on the board to in the hall for us all to consider.

We have been blessed that some of our new members have put their hands up to be more involved in our church and some of our outstanding regular tasks are now able to be addressed.

Our church directory has now been updated and has been distributed to all members. We are aware of one or two discrepancies but this is in hand to rectify.

The monthly Tear Fund lunches are planned to be restarted once the flooring is completed and this will probably be in September. The Tear Fund Shop has been relocated to the back of the main church auditorium alongside the sound desk.

At long last we now have a team of First Aid trained personnel in the church and their names can be seen on a list that is placed alongside the First Aid Box in the church Hall & kitchen.
