This year Catalyst Festival is being held online again. With COVID restrictions easing we are looking forward to ‘Festival @ 3C’. It’s an opportunity for us to find creative ways to reconnect with our church family after almost 18 months of restrictions limiting our interactions.
As the weekend approaches we want to be sure to make the most of this opportunity. So we’ve produced a timetable of events, which you’ll find on this page, along with a description of each of the sessions. It will be possible to access the festival from home, to do this you’ll have to sign up with Catalyst.
(Click on the button below.)
We are going to be hosting a number of the sessions at the church building. Even with restrictions starting to lift, we still need to ensure we are a ‘COVID-secure’ venue. This means that you will need to book spaces at the gathered sessions, masks will have to be worn indoors, social distancing will still need to be observed and mixing of ‘bubbles’ should be avoided.
(It’s not ideal, but its how things are!)
To help with this process we’ll be using the same ticketing system that we use for our Sunday morning services. You’ll find more information below.
We’re all invited… so let’s get stuck in together as we discover more of what God is doing around the world, throughout our nation and in our hearts!
Here are the descriptions of each of the weekends sessions:
Festival @ 3C
All four of these main sessions will be streamed to the church building. Anyone attending will need to book their places on the ticketing system – similar to our current Sunday services.
This is an opportunity for us to reconnect with some of the church family that we might not have seen for a while. Whilst there will be an organised walk for those that are interested and energetic, there will also be a more informal element too, with people arranging to meet up in gardens and catch up in a more relaxed way.
This will be an opportunity for us to gather at the church building for a picnic – we’ll each have to bring our own food. If the weather is good then we’ll be hoping to meet outdoors, on the grass & carpark.
Following the picnic we’re going to have a quick quiz to stretch our brains after a year of lockdown and binge watching TV.
Prayer Zoom Room
These two sessions will provide an opportunity for us to gather and be part of the Festival Prayer Zoom Room. You’re also able to connect to this in the comfort of your own homes.
Firepit & Sputnik
To round the whole weekend off we’re going to have a firepit to toast marshmallows and join the open mic night organised by the Sputnik team. We’ll hear from 10 creative individuals as they share the fruits of their creative labours.
If you want to access the sessions from home, you plan to join the 24H Zoom Prayer Room or you want to explore the resources for families, parents and kids then you'll have to sign up with the Catalyst Festival team.Latest Info
We'd love to have as many folks as possible gathering for the various sessions over the weekend. To make sure that we're 'COVID-secure' we are asking that you book a space at each of the 'gathered sessions' that you plan on attending.Book Spaces
This is an opportunity for us to find ways of reconnecting with folks. If you've got an idea of how we could make that happen then we'd love to hear it and if it's possible we'll find a way to incorporate it into the weekend.Email in Ideas
