Community Groups are a central element in 3c Community Church, in fact they could be described as the ‘life of the church’ and all members are encouraged to belong to one.
They are not the same as house groups or Bible study groups but are intended to create a friendly, family atmosphere where everyone including people, like friends & neighbours, from outside the ‘church family’ can feel safe & accepted.
Community Groups are relationship-based rather than locality based, flexible, outward looking and can include a variety of activities.
Community groups can include:
Prayer – for each other, for local community concerns, for the church
Meals together – Sharing hospitality is a great way to build relationships and can include whole families
Bible study
Indoor and outdoor activities
Days out
Creativity – have fun with poetry, art, drama etc
Worshiping together
Get-togethers with other Community Groups
Identifying who's struggling, who's growing...
Helping people to grow in their journey of faith
Easy to invite along neighbours, friends etc
Identifying and training potential leaders.
